EP 79: Let's Tour the AI Social Club & See What's Inside!
Let's Tour the AI Social Club & See What's Inside!
Hosted by Jenna Gaidusek. An MTV Cribs style walk-through of the club with longtime friend Lauren Scully, recorded live from the Loft.
In the club, the menu really is a floor plan. So instead of a list, take the tour the way Jenna does. Tap a room to see what it does.
Lauren rejoined the team recently and is newer to the app, so she asked what a lot of members probably wonder. A few moments from the walk-through:
Jenna canceled Zoom and moved every class into the Classroom. If you have access to a class, you log in, you see it's live, and you walk in. No figuring out whose camera is off or who's stuck in the waiting room, and no putting on your face for the day either.
In class you can drop voice clips, screen recordings, and screenshots right into the chat thread, which makes troubleshooting so much faster than "let me enable permissions." After class, everything is chopped into a format for however you learn best: shorter video sections, mind maps, presentation PDFs, audio recaps made with Google NotebookLM, copy-ready prompts, and little exercises or linked apps so you can follow along.
She's also moving away from slideshows. In the Presentation Designer Canva class the day before this recording, she built a real project from start to finish, live. Expect a lot more of that.
The Studio is Jenna's favorite room, because it's where all the apps are. You can do everything she teaches in whatever AI tool you like best. She builds these so you don't have to argue with a chat thread to get there. And nothing saves to her. You export your work before you leave.
The certificate used to run three months at a time, twice a week for the first three weeks, and most classes were only open to certificate members. That's a lot, especially heading into the holidays. So Jenna changed it.
Why the monthly option? Jenna gets it: in this economy, $699 at once is a lot. Members in the chat keep saying it pays for itself, which was kind of cool to see. Finish your classes and submit the work, and you'll get your frame in the Parlor.
Jenna does the short side of the sit tests (she's five feet) and Lauren does the tall side. High Point is a whole town, not a building, and your first market can be overwhelming. Not everyone can go, so they'll broadcast live in the Loft whenever the showroom Wi-Fi cooperates.
They'll be back in the Loft in two weeks with a market recap.
Jenna is the go-to educator for design professionals who want to use technology without losing their creative edge. A designer turned tech advocate, she is a nationally recognized speaker, podcast host, community builder, and custom app builder based in Charleston, SC.
She built the AI Social Club herself, with Claude as her build partner, after two years of work. Her mission: make AI accessible, practical, and ethical for every interior designer.
Lauren and Jenna met 15 or 16 years ago selling furniture in Indianapolis, and Lauren also went to design school. She helped build eDesign Tribe, was part of its acquisition, and has worked with project management software companies along the way.
She recently rejoined the team and works behind the scenes where design and technology meet. Find her at High Point helping run the live broadcasts. She's very tall, so you can't miss her.
The Loft is the upstairs live stage inside the AI Social Club, where free live events and podcast recordings happen, every other Friday at 11. You can see when it's on air whether you're logged in or not, and member avatars can now walk around in the room.
The edited episode publishes Saturday mornings to podcast platforms and YouTube.
